First try these helpful steps:
Remember the first few times you used a tampon or wore contact lenses? Well the INSTEAD® Softcup® can also take a little time to learn to use correctly and comfortably. At first it may seem awkward to either insert or remove. That's OKAY most women experience that.
Here are some TIPS to help you have a successful experience with the INSTEAD® Softcup®

Unlike a tampon, when inserting the INSTEAD® Softcup®, you should PUSH BACK, not up for proper placement. |

When removing the INSTEAD® Softcup®, we suggest using your middle finger to gently hook under the INSTEAD® Softcup® rim, as your middle finger tends to be slightly longer than your index finger. |

When you are ready to remove the INSTEAD® Softcup®, try not to pull the cup straight down. Rather, keep the cup level to the floor to avoid spilling the contents. |

The INSTEAD® Softcup® can often be worn twice as long as a tampon: |

When getting ready to participate in strenuous exercises, like biking, running, swimming, or sexual intercourse, we recommend inserting a fresh INSTEAD® Softcup®. |
**Remember that the INSTEAD® Softcup® cannot be re-used and should NOT be worn for more than 12 hours.

Always properly dispose of a used INSTEAD® Softcup®. You may want to wrap the used INSTEAD® Softcup® in toilet paper and then put it into the old wrapper or just simply wrap the cup in toilet paper and place it in an appropriate waste container. Be careful NOT to FLUSH the INSTEAD® Softcup®. |
