Spring is in the air.
When I think of spring I'm reminded of sunshine, flowers, birds chirping, and of course—spring cleaning! Spring cleaning is as good an excuse as any to start fresh—in your home and in any area your life, really. This month Softcup retailers are doing a little spring cleaning of their own by offering some nice discounts on Softcup to make room for new inventory.  Olympic Swimmer Amanda Beard Films Softcup Commercial
This month we had the chance to work with seven-time Olympic medalist swimmer Amanda Beard on the set of Softcup's latest video project. Amanda flew out to San Diego for the day and talked on-camera about why she's a fan of Softcup and how it suits her hectic lifestyle both in and out of the pool. The weather was fully cooperative and we even got some footage of her award-winning breast stroke!
It's amazing what lengths the camera men went to to get the shot—they placed mirrored panels on the bottom of the pool for light reflection and used flippers to glide along underneath Amanda as she swam. You can see more behind-the-scenes pics on the Softcup Facebook page.

June
Starting in June, grocery chain Raley's will offer a $2 off instant redeemable coupon on Softcup boxes while supplies last.

Meet the Softcup Team
 Hey, I'm Mary and I'm part of the Softcup Team. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself since I'm the one who brings you your issue of The Monthly Alternative each month. (Plus, I recently got this fun picture taken by a photographer we work with, and I just had to share it!) Let me tell you a little bit about myself. As you can probably tell, I'm a die-hard Softcup fan (I've been using Softcup for longer than I can remember) and would sooner drive all the way across town (maybe even the country) to get my Softcups than settle for using tampons. Having grown up in both Raleigh, North Carolina and San Diego, California, I'm a Southern belle at heart but a California girl by nature. I attended UCLA where I majored in Art History. After college, I was a writer for a music magazine and subsequently met my husband-to-be, who was a guitarist in a local band. Now I'm happily married, working with the wonderful folks on the Softcup Team and loving every minute of it! In my free time I like to eat good food with good friends, exercise so I can eat more good food, and online window shop (I put items in my shopping cart, then close the window before I buy anything). Oh, and I play the violin and speak Japanese. I love talking to other Softcup users on our Facebook page, so feel free to chat me up!
