Instead Patents New Vaginal Applicator
Thursday, May 24th, 2007
Instead Sciences has patented a novel new vaginal applicator.
This new applicator is designed to be more comfortable than currently available applicators and provide better distribution via its rounded “showerhead” tip. Instead plans to distribute the applicator with its vaginal lubricant, Amphora, when it is launched later this year. It will fit standard tubing used in currently marketed OTC vaginal products that are sold with an applicator.
It will also be used in upcoming clinical trials conducted in Madagascar by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) testing the efficacy of Amphora in preventing Gonorrhea and Chlymadia.
It will be available for purchase on Instead’s online store this Fall.
