Hormonology for Women
Thursday, April 12th, 2007
My friend Gabrielle Lichterman, founder of the next women’s movement, Hormonology, has developed a multimedia library dedicated to teaching women about how hormones affect them on each day of their cycle.
I first met Gabrielle during the release of her 2005 book 28 Days: What Your Cycle Reveals About Your Love Life, Moods and Potential, which was received nationwide and internationally to great media acclaim. Now, I’m hooked on her electronic Four Weeks Magazine, which you can subscribe to at www.hormonology.info. With tips on everything from career and intimacy (go Softcup on Day 1 for great sex) to personal relationships and exercise, the science of hormonology is based on the effects rising and falling levels of hormones have on you - emotionally, physically, socially, etc. - on each day of your cycle.
Our cycles and our periods are so much more than chocolate and bitchiness, which Lichterman captures artfully. Be sure to check it out for yourself, and have the boys visit for validation…as if we need it.
