I Am Telling All of My Friends and Family

I just started sing Softcups this summer and I wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVE them! Your product has brought me the freedom to do my everyday activities even while having my period. I have always used tampons or pads, and on my heavy flow days both, but with the Softcups the most I have to use with them is a panty liner. I no longer worry about leakage and much to my husband's delight we can even engage in sex during that time of the month. I admit I was apprehensive at first when it came to taking the Softcups out but I quickly learned how to do so with minimal muss and fuss. I am telling all of my friends and family that they need to switch to your product. I am one very satisfied customer, and at 41 years of age no longer dread having my period. Thank you so much for a wonderful product.

Sincerely,
Mariah G.

Kelli Says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have finally gained confidence on my two very heavy days. In my job, a break is not possible for 3 hours or longer, so EXTREME leaks" were always a concern. I used to keep super-plus tampons in my house, my car, my purse, my laptop case, my work cubicle, my suitcase, etc. I never had enough. The most embarrassing was having to go the bathroom several times on a flight from San Fran to Hawaii, then having to keep a tampon close for 2 days while in a swimming suit. NEVER AGAIN!

Nett Says:

I love the Soft Cup. I by no means want to go back to using tampons. However, I have a titled uterus and I have not been able to take the Soft Cup out by myself. Each attempt has been unsucessful. This is my second month using Soft Cup. I sure wish I could remove the cup by myself; because my hubby is tried to removing the cup for me. I love it and don't want to return to tampons.

softcup_mary Says:

Nett, I'm sorry you've had trouble with removal. Indeed, it is possible that your tilted uterus is to blame. Have you tried bearing down during removal (as if you're having a bowel movement or giving birth)? This usually helps push the cup forward a bit and eases removal.

Ellie Says:

I have a tilted uterus as well. What I do is put my finger inside of me, turn my finger around so I'm pulling at the top of the cup instead of underneath the rim, and pull it out and down. it's messier that way and takes some practice (especially the finger turn-around inside!) but it still beats the hassle of tampons and pads for me. Hope this helps!

Amanda Kaye  Says:

Yes!!!!!! Within minutes but I prefer these over tampons that tink and pads that are gross

kewlbleu Says:

I wonder what have you done when taking it out? How were you positioned? Sitting? Standing? Were you relaxed? I've found it's easier to take the Soft Cup out when I'm sitting, relaxing my abdominal muscles, and slightly pushing from within. Hope this helps =)

Felicity Says:

LOVE THE CUP!!! the only problem is i do have a hymroid and when i poot it slips a little and when i sneeze ETC. but i do not do that every hour LOL that i have to change a tampon and my pad I have to use tampon (super plus) and pad (heavy) ever since i was 13 it was embarssing and now alls i have id soft cup and panty liner for my (sneezing fits) and we are all good thanks soft cup!

Kelly Says:

I am getting married on may 5, 2012. I started my cycle today which means I will start again next month again on or within a day or two of my wedding day so my biggest concern was not being able to be intimate on my wedding night and while on my honeymoon. I was told to get a birth control shot which will stop my period but may throw off my cycle and cause me to start during that time anyway. I went to walgreens to buy tamponds and ran across softcup and I am sooo happy now! Softcup saved my wedding day!!! Yeeeaaa...Thanks goes out to the inventer!

softcup_mary Says:

Kelly, we're so glad you found us just in time! We'd love it if you could write us a testimonial about finding Softcup just in time for your wedding, including a picture of you! What do you think?

Anonymous Says:

Thinking about getting the product! Have a couple questions! So there was no mess during sex? And did your husband know that you were using them?

Lavilla Says:

Love them , love them , love them !!!!! Using them for the very 1at time today. Out with the old, in with the new new( SOFTCUP) !!!!!!

softcup_mary Says:

Thanks for your positive comment, Lavilla! So glad Softcup works for you!

Kayla Says:

I use softcup since November and love them!!! Proud to be part of a growing family

Melissa Says:

This is my first time using softcups and i love them!! Longer wear with no leaks and you can't feel them at all. Removal is a little tricky. You have to push a little so that the cup comes forward, but do not push and try to take it out at the same time!! That is very messy!! But even with that, its still before than tampons or pads. I use to feel sick if I kept a tampon in to long and pads feel like diapers at a few hours! This is definitely something that everyone should try.

qlamourqirl_2012 Says:

I started usinq Softcups for the first time last month & I absolutely LOVE them ! Yes ,, startinq off as far as takinq them out can be a little messy ,, but I cauqht on very quickly as far as the insert/takinq out of the cup. Its so quick and easy now ,, and I can not even feel when I have one in :) ALSO me and my boyfriend experimented" with me havinq a softcup in and he and I were EXTREMELY pleased ! I LOVE YOU SOFTCUP :)

Priscilla92 Says:

Okay, I started this morning and saw Softcup for the first time. I bought it in pure excitement! I absolutely love them, I didn't have much trouble getting it in the right place or taking it out. The main reason I bought them is the promise of being able to have sex with them. My boyfriend is out of town so I'm probably not going to have a chance to try it out this cycle, but I'm just super curious because I don't feel like theres much space in there as is, much less fitting a penis as well! Do you have any tips or anything?

softcup_mary Says:

Hi Priscilla92, my only tip is to experiment. Every couple is individual, as are their anatomies. You may find that your partner doesn't notice Softcup at all, or if he does it may not bother him. However, some positions may be more comfortable than others. Just communicate with him and see what works best for you as a couple.

meg Says:

okay i feel lied to or else I'm doing it so wrong. it's only holding as long as a normal tampon would. I'm depressed i thought I found something that would change my life lol any help? It would be much appreciated. It gets so old having to use like a super plus and changing every hour. Help!!!! Maybe I'm terrible at putting them in lol its my first time

softcup_mary Says:

Hi Meg, I'm sorry you haven't had as positive an experience with Softcup as you hoped. Most women are able to get more wear time with Softcup than with tampons. It is possible that you aren't inserting Softcup far enough for it to properly cover your cervix. If you're leaking within the first hour this is likely the case. For most women it takes a few tries to get Softcup inserted properly. I encourage you to keep trying. You'll know when you've gotten it right because you won't feel it and it won't leak right away.

Anonymous Says:

After sex, should you remove the soft cup and insert a new one forHygiene reasons? Love them!

softcup_mary Says:

You do not have to remove Softcup after sex, but you may want to. It's a personal choice.

Anonymous Says:

Today I used it for the first time and it was very very difficult for me to remove. I am 18 and have been using tampons since I was 14 and those haave never caused me any problems. I don't think this product is good for everyone especially not me but it could be very great for other women because it does not leak and it is very comfortable when in use. However, I believe you must be very comfortable when you want to take it out for the first time because it is a very unusual feeling. I also suggest trying to take it out after about 4 hours and definitely do not stretch it to the maximum time of 12 hours because that is what I did when I was very stressed about getting an infection because I was afraid I would surpass the maximum time.

Anonymous Says:

I think it's a great idea and love them!! Did anyone feel any cramping the first time using them? Kinda feels like period cramps but started as soon as I inserted it??

Anonymous Says:

That happened with me too

Anonymous Says:

I love this! I cannot wear tampons without extreme discomfort and during the summer no one wants to sit out at the pool because of their period. Soft cup is so comfortable! I hardly know it's there. The removal process can be messy but I tend to use a disposable latex glove to remove mine and the mess is very minimal. I would reccomend this product to anyone really.

Anonymous Says:

The glove is genius!!! I bought soft cups today because I saw them when I was buying tampons, and I HATEEE tampons. They are comfortable, up until the removal. I haven't experienced the removal of a softcup yet, but it just seems just like the first time using a tampon. yay! I even tweeted about it lol

softcup h8r Says:

this thing completely ruined my life! it cut my vaginal wall and i had to go to the hospital to get it removed. talk about embarrassing. And it was a smokin' hot male doctor.WTF!!!! FML!! SOOOOOO going back to tampons.

softcup_mary Says:

Dear Softcup H8r, we'd like to know more about your negative experience with Softcup. We take our customer feedback very seriously, and we document any adverse events related to Softcup in our quality assurance files. Please email customer.service@softcup.com with your complaint.

Anonymous Says:

that isn't the softcups fault that you cant be graceful when dealing with your own insides. be more cautious and that wouldnt have happened.

Anonymous Says:

Im 15 years old and I hate my period ! Its hevy and im never comfertable going out places and when I use tampons im always worrying about how long there gonna last . So I am useing softcup for the first time right now !im reall amazed on how this thing works ! But im nervouse about the removing part .

Anonymous Says:

I was hoping for a good experience and it has been just AWFUL! They are extremely uncomfortable and messy to insert. I get cramps and sick to my stomach after insertion and removal. The removal is disgustingly messy and impractical. I did not have any leaks but all the other factors don't make it worth it to me.I have no idea why these other women feel so comfy with something so impractical in so many ways. I certainly would not have sex with that thing in.

Mel Says:

i just tried softcup and i am haven a heck of a time getting it in. i finally think i have it in after about 5 tries its been a hour now and i feel so much freedom im 46 and im real tired of leaking and messing my bed on my heavy days TY TY TY for inventing such a wonderful tool. you ROCK

hello Says:

I know of the 12 hour limit, and is there a reason for that? Can it cause problems or has it just not been tested past that? Id feel much more comfortable buying it if i knew what the risks were for going over 12 hours. I dont like being caught by surprise.Thx

softcup_mary Says:

Hello, the 12-hour wear time was approved by the FDA for Softcup labeling based on our clinical data. Softcup was tested up to 24 hours with no adverse effects, but the FDA felt comfortable labeling the cup for 12 hours maximum wear time.

Anonymous Says:

This is going to sound crazy, but I have very short fingers and am not sure I can insert and remove Softcup with ease. Are there any insertion or removal tools available?

softcup_mary Says:

There are no insertion or removal tools to use with Softcup. But you should give it a try. Many petite women can wear Softcup successfully. You may want to try squatting down low to the ground when inserting the cup. This may help you get it in further. For removal, just bear down, as if taking a bowel movement, and this will help push the cup forward to reach for removal.

Nikki Says:

Very comfortable when wearing softcup. But removing it scared me to death took me 30 min and I freaked out on my husband. I thought I had found something that was my life saver but now after taking it out it has left a very uncomfortable feeling. Glad I had my wonderful husband there for support or I probably would have went to the hospital. May be nice for some people but now all im experiencing is pain after removing it. :-(

softcup_mary Says:

Hi Nikki, can you be more specific about what you experienced with removal that made you feel uncomfortable?

Anonymous Says:

Dear Nikki, The same exact thing happened to me. I just used it for the first time last night and it hurt putting it in and taking it out. It scared me when taking it out and now I have that uncomfortable feeling. I didn't have any support like you did so it was much more frightening haha..

Anonymous Says:

I started my period yesterday and I was excited to try these out. I'm 18 and I'm not too sure if I'm inserting them correctly. I've been cramping so it's hard to tell the difference between a cramp and feeling the soft cup. When my cramps died down I didn't really feel it and had no leaks. However, I just woke up in the middle of the night with a feeling that I had something or I felt the soft cup in my vagina. I went to the bathroom to try to adjust it and some how it managed to slip out and slide all the way down til it was almost peaking out. Luckily there were no leaks or mess in my pants but a heck of a mess in my toilet, but I put another in and hope it's in right. I push it all the way back and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with inserting because I'm sure slipping like that is not supposed to happen. I hope I can master the technique of insertion and removal because I really do enjoy soft cup and all it's benefits. Hopefully I'll figure it out and prevent another slipping.

Kimmi Says:

My good friend gave me 2 to try and I've had them for weeks. I afraid to try it. I was worried about pain, improper insertion, not being able to get it out, etc. Then I ran out of tamps. I have to use super plus as my flow is very heavy. I must have stared at my SoftCup for an hour before I decided to put it on/in. I have a new best friend! I was so amazed at how liberated I felt I even told all my coworkers and put it on facebook. I ordered a 24 pack and I feel excited about getting them in the mail like its a new piece of jewelry! Lol Thank you for giving us a better alternative. I swear I think my tampons were making my cramps worse. Since I've been using SoftCup my cramps have diminished greatly.

Anonymous Says:

Trying soft cups for the first time today! I got it in so I'll wait and see how it goes!

Anonymous Says:

I love softcups, I'm only 14 but they're amazing, no leakage my first night and they are super easy to insert and remove thanks so much!!

Brittany Says:

I really wanna try soft cups but I'm so scared!!

softcup_mary Says:

Hi Brittany, it's normal to feel a little scared at first. Remember the first time you tried tampons? That was scary too. Softcup is no different. There's a learning curve when you try any new product, but once you try it your fear will go away. Softcup is easy to use and very comfortable to wear. Check out our instructional videos on how to insert and remove Softcup, and read through the Frequently Asked Questions. And feel free to ask us questions.

Mrs. G Says:

Softcups are great! Messy to remove--I don't care if you come up with a special way to remove it, it's still got a gross out" factor when taking it out. I've been dealing with infertility and recently read women using them to get pregnant (not the intended, or even recommended purpose from what I can find). This is initially why I bought them. My husband & I tried them this way last month before I even used them for my period and we liked them.Anyways, I'm currently on Day 2 of my period which is always the worst day and I have little to no cramps. I'm not sure what That's about, but I'll take it! I find tampons easier to insert (took a few tries with Softcups), but I've also read tampons--specifically chemicals like dioxin in tampons--are thought to be related to endometriosis and other problems. Considering I'm dealing with infertility, I decided to switch to Softcups. Though it's very messy to remove and they're a bit pricier than tampons and pads, I don't think I'll ever go back to tampons.

Emily Says:

Okay, so I put it in without a problem. It was a little uncomfortable for 3-4 minutes but I didn't even feel it after that! I had it in for 3 hours when I felt a little leak. (I was running down a flight of stairs, but I've NEVER had a tampon leak unless it was overly full, so I was a little annoyed.) I went down to the bathroom and sat on the toilet to try and pull it out. I couldn't. Then I started to stress because I started imagining having to tell my friends parents that I needed to go to the ER because I got a Soft Cup stuck in my vagina. I decided it wasn't going to happen and I crouched down, my butt almost touching my heels.TMI here, but blood started coming out and I had to sit back on the toilet. It had moved back up, so I just got in the shower and started running it. I did the same thing, and had to put my pointer finer upside down to grab it. When I finally got it a little, it was fine. But it took me a good 20 minutes and I was near tears. I saw a review where someone had cut their vagina open with their nails and I was paranoid.it's a lot like a contact lens (at least for me.) Easy to put in, hard to take out, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Not sure if it's worth it to put in, though. Same as contacts.I wish there were a way to tell when it was full, or OPTIONAL strings to pull it out. Because my vagina still kinda hurts. Haha.Overall, probably worth it for special occasions or to go swimming comfortably. Everyday, though? I'm not too sure. Also, they should make them reusable at least for one cycle. they're definitely durable enough for it. I'm probably going to try that next.

softcup_mary Says:

Emily, your experience sounds fairly normal for a first-time user. Once you use Softcup for a few cycles you'll get more comfortable with proper insertion and removal. Removal can be easy if you learn to bear down with you pelvic muscles (just like going number two) when you remove the cup. Also, you shouldn't feel the cup at all if it's inserted properly, so if you feel it after insertion, try again. Leakage will only occur if the cup is in the improper position and not covering the cervix, or if it is too full and needs to be changed. Occasionally you could experience some leakage if you bear down unintentionally (such as a hard cough or sneeze), but most women learn to control those muscles and the problem disappears. Some leakage during urination or bowel movement is normal. Just check with your finger to ensure the cup has not become displaced after a bowel movement.

Shaun Says:

I have plans to have sex with the guy I have been waiting for for nearly a year tomorrow and I just got my period. Are soft cups safe to have sex with? Or will it just be a bloody mess?

softcup_mary Says:

Hi Shaun, Softcup is safe to use during intercourse for mess-free sex. But remember, it is NOT a contraceptive and does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. With the Softcup inserted, the menstrual fluid should collect in the cup, so it will prevent a mess. But it's best to insert a fresh cup prior to intercourse.
