Fun Fridays: Happy Fathers' Day!

Although we are a Women's healthcare company we wanted to take a moment to celebrate all the dads out there and wish them a Happy Father's Day!

Here's to the special dads in the lives of all of us at Softcup:

"My dad was raised a Quaker and he passed on to me a great gift. It wasn't perfect and I've both polished it and tarnished it, but nonetheless the gift was very important to me. It is no prejudice."

       -Wendell G.

"I remember on my 7th birthday, we had a swimming party in our clubhouse. It was Easter Sunday, so my mom prepared some plastic Easter eggs with prizes inside for the Easter egg hunt. The grand prize was $50 dollars in one of the eggs. The Easter egg hunt started, and I was busy looking for eggs when my dad approached me discreetly and gave me a pink egg. When I opened it, I saw the $50 dollars inside! I think he was supposed to hide it but he gave it to me instead. My mom got mad, she said that was supposed to be for the guests to hunt for. I guess my dad really wanted me to have the grand prize that day!"

      -Jeckie A.

"Dad, thank you for being a kind, patient and compassionate father to Stef and I, and for being a loving and supportive husband to mom. I feel truly blessed to have a father as wonderful as you. Thank you for always being a shoulder to cry on, someone to share a joke or laugh with, for being a rational point of view and for always, always having an endless supply of peppermint candies."

     -Kaitlin B.

"Through his actions, my dad taught me to do what is right, even when it's not convenient. When he couldn't afford college anymore, he was drafted into the Vietnam War. He met my mom there, and together they brought her family to the U.S. They loved with my dad's mom, raising my older brother, until they could afford a house of their own. My dad worked hard but never complained, and always loved (and still does) family time. I am grateful to him for many fun times spent doing lots of things and nothing at all; for showing he cares by helping fix my cars and apartments over the years; and for his wisdom."

     -Tracey C.

"Taking time this year to reflect on a very special Father's day at our house (my husbands' first Father's day!) makes me think of all the life lessons my own father has taught me, and continues to teach me. What I hope my husband can pass on to our daughter. Dad, I would like to thank you most of all for the years of unconditional love and support. The biggest lesson you have taught me is to appreciate the earth, and to love and treat nature and mother earth as well as we can during our short visit on this beautiful planet. My love of the ocean and wanting to protect it, all comes from you. Thank you daddy! I love you today and always."

     -Kerrie Q.

"Dad, thank you for telling me that I could never get into trouble for something I didn't say."

     -Joe P.

"You are the one person who nurtured my love of reading. I remember you used to read to me the Cinderella pop-up book at night after dinner."

    -Mariza L.

"Hi dad, though I see you often, I don't tell you how much I love you often enough. Father's Day comes along once a year and reminds us how much we care about our dads, but really it should serve to remind us that expressing our appreciation for them once a year is far too infrequent. So dad, Happy Father's Day. I love you today and every other day of the year, and I'll do my best to let you know it!"

    -Mary Smedes P.

"I have a lot of admiration for my dad's commitment to his family and, especially, his character and integrity."

     -Sean E.

"My Dad and my Mom were married for 58 years, and my Mom died about two years ago. Luckily my Dad found a lifetime best friend, Colleen, who became his wife and who is happily sharing his life and mine.

... A baseball coach, a Cub Master, Troop Master, Chairman of UROC and a Rocket Scientist ... one of those guys who kept the United States and the whole world safe ... and best of all ... he's my Dad!

These are only a few of the reasons that I love my Dad so much and have scientifically proved ( p < 0.00000001 ), that he is the Best Dad in the World!

Happy Father's Day, Dad

       I Love You!"
