Mission

Evofem, Inc., formerly named Instead Inc., is dedicated to providing women with greater freedom, comfort and control of their reproductive and sexual health.  We are dedicated and passionate about the struggles and issues of all women and are committed to improving the lives of those who need our help the most, not only through innovation but through charity, good will and working with other people and organizations who have the same mission as we do.   
The world we live in today is changing at an ever faster pace.  We are more informed, more connected and more in tune with ourselves, with others and with our environment than ever before.   At Evofem, we continually strive to innovate in a sustainable way and under the greater context of doing the right thing…for our customers; for every woman and man; and for the world we live in.

Products

In pursuing our mission, Evofem seeks to develop products that offer women not only new options, but better options.   There are still many areas where women's needs are unmet or underserved.   Our goal is to bring products to market that meet these unmet needs in order to give women back their freedom and put them in control of their own health and safety.  We invest heavily in ensuring that our products meet the highest safety standards while maintaining their effectiveness, all without compromise to the acceptability of our products by the women who use and depend on them.

EVOFEM Currently Focuses on the Following Women's Needs:

  • Period protection and feminine hygiene
  • Contraception
  • Prevention of STIs including HIV/AIDS
  • Infertility
  • Other conditions where vaginal therapy can be an effective preventative or treatment

We believe that a healthy woman is also an educated woman.  A women who is well-informed about her body and the products that are available to her is able to make smarter and healthier choices.  Her knowledge allows her to do the best and the most she can to protect herself and enhance her everyday life.
At Evofem we are committed to doing our part to educate and inform women around the world by providing ready access to up-to-date news and leading edge information on reproductive and sexual health issues.
There is a greater good that not one person, product or company alone can achieve.  Only by working together as a global community can we attain the difficult yet achievable goal of improving the lives of all women and men by providing innovation alongside better access to information.  We are proud to be a part of these efforts and to work with those individuals and organizations that share this same goal.
